I read about Daniel Laidlaw VC who was known as the Lone Piper of Loos. During WW1 Laidlaw won his VC by removing his gas mask during a gas attack and piping his regiment out of the gas filled trenches and onto the battlefield it is such an inspiring story about a mans courage and the power of music to stir the soul. Laidlaw played the tune " All the blue bonnets are over the border " and this tune is my tribute to him and what his act represents.
